The red tub! Before we draw any water and dive into the story of the bathtub, I wanted to first paint the bigger picture of this project. The client was looking for a reasonable upgrade to their master bedroom's bathroom and dressing area–– without jumping into an intensive remodel. The client had an existing brilliant red tub from their family, which we slid into the bathroom and sported with polished brass hardware. Paired with a sleek, but effective modular storage cabinet, and an upgraded vanity area, this bathroom steps beyond it's utility and is now an inviting space to draw a warm bath and enjoy a good book or decompress after a long day. Moving into the dressing area, the red lounging chair compliments the beautiful bathtub, and the elevated stone surface in the dressing area worked perfectly to move in a mirror and plants. As your gaze follows the frame of the mirror, along the legs of the planter your eyes find a classic hardwood inspired wood dresser.
